Canyonlands National Park – A Hidden Gem

Many people that drop by Canyonlands come for a day trip when they visit Arches National Park. I found it to be much more than a side add on. It’s a hidden gem. The trails are far less crowded and the views grand. Check out some of the memories that I captured below.

White Rim overlook was one of the great hikes towards panoramic views

Upheaval Dome was another fun one where you can check out an intriguing rock formation that scientists are still debating about the origins of.

Or stop by Grand View Point for a great sunset right on the rim.

Although the Willow Flat campground doesn’t have canyon views, it was very peaceful and nice.

And the night sky in the park was amazing!

Next day, the husband dropped by and we drove down the canyon to catch a different perspective.

Next day, the husband dropped by and we drove down a very narrow road

And boy was I glad he was driving.

We made it ...

All to catch a different perspective

And it was very worth it!

Before heading out the next morning, we dropped by Mesa Arch to catch the sunrise.

Good bye Canyonlands for now.

We will come back next time with a more intense 4×4 and camp at the bottom of the canyon.
